Page Count, ehehe...
So far... um... I seem to have drastically underestimated the number of pages I will need to finish everything I'd had planned for Cavehaven. The unedited, unlayouted alpha document is already at 36pgs without a table of contents or the CHECKS information added. I haven't even gotten to finishing out the core hooks of each of the three quests, or adding in the bestiary, or adding the crafting/craftables and other items.
And I have notes and art for most of this unfinished stuff! So... That's a whoopses. Cavehaven is going to clock in at more like 50 PAGES at least, if not more.
I always do this...
But it's okay, the end is in sight, I know where it's going and we're still almost there! A lot of the content is actually already written, I just have a few pages of transitions and hooks to write and then I just need to assemble together the bestiary and items info. After editing and/or layout the page count might get pared down just due to words being removed and also more economically arranged throughout.
But Cavehaven is still going to be a beefy, goblincore zine!
